What do those location(s) mean to you?: It’s where, through bunch of ridiculous coincidences, I’m living at the time of writing. It’s also right across the street from Kawari Sound Recording Studio

Favourite Place in Philly: I like to spend time in Chinatown. The food is good and not expensive—most places are BYOB. I also spend a lot of time in Fishtown because I’m a hip 20-something.

Favourite Watering Hole/Coffee Spot: I like to hang out upstairs at The Grape Room and Dawson Street Pub. They’re both weird little bars around Manayunk with good music.

Favourite Restaurant: Nan Zhou in Chinatown is great. The food at Johnny Brenda’s is good too.

Favourite Pizza Spot: Pizzeria Nonna in Germantown has the best pizza in the city, I think.

Favourite Philly Record Shop: Hideaway Music at the top of Chestnut Hill.

Favourite Philly Venue: Johnny Brenda’s and the Boot and Saddle are great rooms. As far as bigger rooms go, I like to see music at Union Transfer and the Fillmore. Tower Theatre is beautiful.

Recording Space: I do all my recording at Kawari Sound Recording Studio.

Favourite Philly Band(s): Sixteen Jackies are great.

Best show you’ve seen in Philly: I saw The Midnight Hollow at Ortleib’s one time. They were rad.

What are you listening to now: I’ve been listening to a lot of Frank Ocean lately.

If you could sum up in one sentence what Philly / Philly music scene means to you, what would it be?   The Philadelphia music scene is a bunch of weirdly inclusive cliques.

Life motto: We’re all careening towards inventible, unknown death.

Future plans: Millennials In Love (And Other Pre-Apocalyptic Standards) comes out this fall.
